If I'm not mistaken this movie takes place in Maine. In the early part of the film his wife and children leave to visit her family for Thanksgiving. He does not go with her later he's outside with his neighbor, and the trees not only have leaves but they are not colored. by the end of November there would be no leaves on a tree in Maine. I live in New England south of Maine and we have never had leaves on trees not even colored ones at the end of November. They're long gone by then.
