When Mulder and Scully are entering the bee dome, Mulder's tie is blown over his right shoulder in the next scene it is over his left shoulder. Then, it is strait, and then back over his left shoulder in the following scenes.
After careful review of the movie, I have seen that you are wrong. Unless my eyes deceive me(I have seriously seen this movie over a hundred times), David's tie never goes over to the right side. It goes from the left side, down to the center of his chest.
Actually, the original comment is correct--for just a split second after Mulder opens the door and they haven't entered the dome yet, his tie is flung over his right shoulder. After the camera cuts to the interior, just as they are stepping through the door, the tie is now over his left shoulder. After another cut, the tie is hanging straight, another cut and it's over the left shoulder again, and then we see him pull it back with his own hand.
