Early in the film you see some hitmen given orders to get Axel. A matchbook changes hands through the window of a 1982 or newer Camaro. Later, after Axel and the boys leave the strip club there is the Camaro waiting with the hitmen, and a shootout and short car chase ensues, ending with the car crashing into a telephone pole. That Camaro is a 1978 model Z-28. A completely different body style than earlier.
