In the opening scene of the film, where we see the captain of the Kelvin walking onto the bridge and he says "Polarise the viewscreen" you can clearly see his Starfleet insignia badge on his uniform.

But as he sits down in his chair in the next shot, it is gone.

This is small, but being one of the main icons of Star Trek, this should have been picked up.
