This episode of Mystery Quest is from 2009 where the crew was searching for demons in the house in Amityville, NY (as in the Amityville horror) plus 2 other locations, but these other locations aren't important.
During their search in Amityville, 2 people were in what they call "Mary's Room" with the machine that picks up electromagnetic fluctuations. The one guy turns on a lamp on the table and the machine starts buzzing because of the electricity. He mentions that they will use that as a guide for any fluctuation.
Meanwhile, there is part of the crew in the basement with heat sensors and they pick up heat on a column as if "someone" was leaning against it.
The slip-up comes at the end when they are going over their data and the one guy starts talking about the heat imprint on the column and how they don't know how it got there. He goes on to mention that there was no source because the house has no power in it. However, we saw in "Mary's Room" that the light on the table had been turned on indicating that there is indeed a power source of some kind.
I believe in the paranormal because I have had my own experiences, but even this made me angry because what is a skeptical viewer to think about it? I believe and I doubt their findings.
