Right before the big shoot-out at the corral towards the movie's end just as John T. (John Wayne) attempts to make the prisoner exchange Dude (Dean Martin) tackles Joe Burdette (Claude Akins) and they begin to fight. Colorado (Ricky Nelson) had taken his hat off and SETS IT TO HIS LEFT on the window sill, looks out of the barn window, offers to help Dude take out Joe when John T. tells him Dude can take Joe. As Dude takes a clobbering blow Ricky says, "He's got a strange way a of doing it!", a bullet splinters the window frame. Just as John T. tells Colorado that Dude will take Joe alright, Dude takes Joe out. Ricky says, "You're right he did!" THE WINDOW FRAME IS NO LONGER SPLINTERED and the hat is NOW ON THE RIGHT. When Dude asks for a gun Ricky offers to throw him one THE WINDOW is RE-SPLINTERED!
