I haven't seen the movie yet, but since this is animated this may or may not be a slip-up.

It would depend on the college Andy was going to (which I don't remember them mentioning in the movie), many colleges have a spring/summer quarter, so it can make perfect sense for Andy to be starting college in late spring or early summer, not a slip up
