Andy is leaving for college in a matter of days, which indicates it is late summer or early fall. But when he visits Bonnie's house, it's covered with wisteria, which blooms in May.
It would depend on the college Andy was going to (which I don't remember them mentioning in the movie), many colleges have a spring/summer quarter, so it can make perfect sense for Andy to be starting college in late spring or early summer, not a slip up
