First off, her name is Raye. In the dub is is always Spelled Raye and in the original it is Rei. Second, she might have meant that she had swung down once.
I haven't seen this episode in awhile but I recall when Raye hit the thing with a chair, she did only hit one, but it split in half and both halves became two more jelly things.
