At several points in the movie, when they are using the walkie-talkies, they interupt each other. When you're on a walkie-talkie, as long as you have the button depressed, you're transmitting, NOT receiving. You can't interupt someone on a walkie-talkie or CB, you can only cut off their transmission so you can't hear it.
