This happens in the episode, Hall Of Fame when C.D. is being harrassed by this guy that is strangling women. He says that he has looked in cemetaries to see if the killer had died, but C.D. did'nt know the killer's name until he questioned the doctor at the asylum. How could C.D. have checked cemetaries if he did'nt know the killer's name.
C.D. also mentions that trying to solve this case was the reason he retired, but in the pilot episode he says that he retired because he got shot in the leg.
