In the movie Gladiator, when lucilla says 'Commodus drink this tonic', we can cearly see that she is stirring the tonic in a glass cup when, if i remember correctly, at those times glass had not been invented yet.
Glass was "invented" around 3,000 B.C. Or, rather, someone discovered the secret of creating glass at that time. The art of blowing glass came much later, around 100 B.C., but it is not necessary to blow glass in order to create a cup.
