In the beginning of the movie, when the little girl Savannah has packed her bags and is getting ready to run away, she writes a note and places it on her dresser. As she leaves and shuts the door behind her, the goodbye note she has written falls off the dresser and then blows under the bed because of the breeze of the door shutting. Of course, her parents don't know what happened to her, because the note she has written is hidden under the bed on the hardwood floor. But the family was rich. You would think that the housecleaner would find it when she is cleaning under the bed or even if her parents went into the room, you would think they would look all over and try to find something as to why she had left.
