Lord of The Rings: Fellowship of The Ring - Sting Not Always Blue
Most of the way through the fight scene,in Balin's tomb, in Moria Frodo's sword, Sting, doesn't glow blue. It's supposed to glow when orcs are at hand, even though there are orcs all around the Fellowship.

People keep mentioning that sting isn't turning blue because in the mines of Moiria, there are orcs all around the fellowship. If you read the book, i can't recall the actual line in the movie, but those are not orcs, or at least they aren't supposed to be. They are goblins...goblins are not orcs. You can refer to Tolkien's The Hobbit. When the dwarves and Bilbo are traveling, they meet up with goblins, not orcs in the mountain passes. Orcs are different from orcs as are urukai. Just saying.
