At the end of the movie, when the castle takes off into space, you can actually see that it is a cardboard cut-out placed in front, and look through the fog and the castle is still there underneath.
Yeah when I saw Brad and Janet carry Dr.Scott out of the castle it looked like
they went out a second front door and the front of the castle looked weird.
I thought it was not a cardboard cut out placed in front. I also thought the
castle really did take off into space.
You aught to give 'em a break...this brilliant movie was made back in the 70's. They couldn't exactly get on their laptops with Windows XP and an Internet access card and fashion it to actually be a clip of the castle flying off into space. If they could've don't you think they would've made the whole movie alot "better" as some people would say...
