After the astronauts leave the dead lake, they walk through the Forbidden Zone desert. They come to a large hill and the camera is at the bottom, but there are already footprints coming down the hill. The camera shot then moves to the top of the hill and as the men walk down you can see the camera's shadow on the lower left.
