Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - Cat OR Not?
When Harry and Ron come back from being Crabb and Goyle, think about what happened to Hermoine. She took the potion just like Harry and Ron at the EXACT same time. How could Hermoine show Harry and Ron what she looks like! She should have changed back to her regular self at the same time as Ron and Harry.
The potion was designed to impersonate a human. Since Hermione accidentally used a cat's hair instead of a person's, the potion had unexpected results. This included the duration being longer, which is why in the very next scene Ron & Harry are discussing how Hermione is being treated in the infirmary but "will be fine".
