During the first 15 minutes of "The Longest Day", Field Marshall Rommel is leading a group of German Army officers around the Normandy beaches. At one point we see a shot of him speaking to the camera with the ocean waves breaking behind him. Instantly, Rommel just disappears from the screen shot but the ocean waves continue on in the same pattern as if he was still standing there.
