During the final Race scene (driving the "Mello Yello" car), Cole has to pit as "the transmissions screwed".

We see them repair the damage and push the car back out of the pits with the help of their rivals. Cole JUST makes it back out, almost cutting the nose off the pace car as He rejoins.

HOWEVER, a few seconds later we see the pitcrew running back with the same "Mello Yello" car in the background (Complete with tacked on soundeffects) peeling out and driving away down the pitlane!

Did He get in front of the pace car or not?!?
