In one scene fairly early in the movie, Mr. White (Harvey Keitel) goes to light his cigarette. He tries several times to get it lit, fails, and pretends to be smoking when he isn't.
This is not a slip-up...on the contrary, it's an intentional bit of humor. Do you honestly think Tarantino overlooked the fact that one of his actors was improvising when his cigarette didn't light?
