In the scene where George is watching the old family movies on the projector, after he turns to look at the projector itself, watch his eyes; the contacts that provide the bloodshot illusion to his eyes are clearly outlined.

This happens again in the scene after he murders the dog in the boathouse; when his family leaves the room and he looks out the window, you can once again see the contacts clearly outlined.
