When Ralphie is in the bathroom using his decoder pen (approx. 49 minutes in) and writing down the message from Little Orphan Annie, he begins with a B then an E. When you watch him write the E it is a lower case E, then when the camera is zoomed out to view the whole page while Ralphie writes the SURE, it is an upper case E. A second time the camera zooms in again and you can see the lower case E then zooms out to the upper case.
