Mr. Hobbs Takes a Vacation - The Sun Rises Where?
In the scene in which Mr Hobbs (James Stewart) is out on the beach reading, supposedly first thing in the morning (he says "Good morning" to Mrs Emily Turner, his son-in-law's boss' wife), the rising sun is shining in his face as he faces the ocean. Since they are supposed to be in California, on the West Coast, the sun would be rising behind him, in the east, not in front of him.
The movie was filmed in California, in and around Dana Point and Laguna Beach (not Carmel, where it is set), so they COULD have gotten this right if they had gotten up early enough in the morning!
Big boo-boo...
