OK, we know that Fiona was supposed to be fooled into thinking Charming was really a transformed Shrek, but what doesn't make sense is Charming being introduced as "Prince Shrek" at the Far Far Away Ball. Wouldn't have Charming already have been well-known in what is presumably his home town? Or did he never visit Far Far Away before? You'd think the town would know who he was since his mother, the Fairy Godmother, also lives there.
