In the movie when Brandi's father gets his leg cut off by the train, the police bring him home that same day and then he shoots the dog. Logically would someone who just got their leg cut off by a train come home the same day?

Also he gets home shortly after the dog does and all the dog did was stop for a booty call which as we all know only takes a short period of time.

So he was in and out of the hospital all in a short amount of time.
