After the Airport bust, and subsequent chase with the priest and the nun in the back of the cab, Ray Hughes (Gregory Hines) and Danny Costanzo (Billy Crystal) are berated in the station house by Capt. Logan and made to apologize to the aforementioned priest and nun. As Huges and Costanzo are lamenting the fact that they did not find and cocaine in their possession and could therefore bust Julio Gonzales, Hughes slams one of the painted trinkets transported by the priest and nun on to the table, breaking off a piece, thus discovering that it is made out of molded coke.
Later in the movie when Hughes and Costanzo are going to “trade the coke for the Costanzo’s love, Costanzo tosses the bags of coke many stories down resulting in an explosion of fine white powder on the ground floor.
Pretty nice of the cops to not only grind all that molded coke up, bleach it pure white, place it in bags and then call it a day.
