When Mr. Bean accidently ends up at the Arch Les Defence, he points out the directon to Gare de Lyon on the compass to south-east. Then when he turns around the pointer should point west/south-west and he should go the other direction. So, he is messing up the compass.

Also, when he start´s walking, the time is before noon so the shadow should be behind him to the left and not infront of him if his going south-east.
