Shadow of the Vampire - Type Font Not Invented
In the final scene of the film, set in 1922, Murnau is shooting the Vampire character murdering the girl in his film "Nosferatu" and has an assistant "slate" the shot. The title of the film is reproduced on the slate in what appears to be Helvetica or Univers Bold Italic. Both examples of "Swiss" typography, these sanserif fonts were not drawn until the late 1960's.
