In the episode titled "Suspicion", which first aired on 1/16/07 (and re-aired on 7/10/07), the opening scene shows a man knocking on a motel room door. The number on the door is 1. He finds that he is standing in a pool of blood and reports the crime. Later, when the NCIS team is arriving, Gibbs tells the local sheriff that he wants to see the crime scene. The sheriff says that it is at the motel, in room 8!
