Costigan goes to Queenan's house to tell him he has discovered that Costello is an FBI informant.

Costigan sits on a bench in the hallway and Queenan hands him a glass of water. Costigan drinks the water and then is holding the glass in his hand. The camera cuts to a close up of Costigan sitting on the bench when he turns to look at a picture of Queenan's son and the glass of water has disappeared. The glass of water reappears in his hand in when the camera cuts back to the previous angle.
