Near the beginning of the show, Betty's sister is sneaking back into the house, through Betty's bedroom window. Behind her, through the window, the towers of the Verrazano Narrows Bridge, connecting south Brooklyn with Staten Island, are clearly visible and recognizable. However, the show places Betty's house in Queens, far from the bridge - and even if the bridge were visible from her house in Queens (unlikely, given the buildings and hills in the way) it would be far away and appear very small.
