Red Dwarf - Lister's Appendix Removed Twice
In Series 2 Episode 3 (Thanks for the Memory) Lister gives Rimmer 9 months of his memory as a 'death-day' present.
When this is finally revealed to Rimmer, Rimmer starts realising the obvious incongruencies cause by these memories and says the line "That's why I had my appendix removed, twice.".
This implies that in the 9 month memory Lister gave Rimmer, Lister had his appendix removed.
But then later in series 6 episode 2 (Legion), Legion removes Lister's appendix, telling him he was on the verge of peritinitous.
Thus Lister had his appendix removed twice.

In the episode DNA lister is turned into a chicken and a hamster, then back into a human, by a DNA transmogrifyer. When he was restored to being a human, the transmogriyer also restored his apendix.

And then into a 'superhuman' also at the very end of the episode. I'd never thought of that before and that is indeed a very good theory. It could also be there messing around in the timelines in both Inquisitor and Timeslides. If the messing around could make Rimmer a human, it could certainly bring back Lister's appendix. The point is that the writer's didn't remember they'd previously mentioned Lister's appendix being removed, and did this unintentionally - even if it is explainable after the fact by thinking about it.
