When Will is at the Governor's house, giving him the future Commodore's sword, he is absoulutely clean-shaven. When he is trying to convince Norrington to go after Elizabeth the next day, he has a full-grown goatee. This could be because the filming took long, but to those of us who pay attention to the guys, it makes no sense!
