Why would his name change? Marriage does not have to equal name change, nor do children have to have their father's last name.

They were not married at the time, when that happens the baby usually gets the mothers last name. Miranda purposely named the baby Brady so it would have Steve's last name. The baby is named Brady Hobbs.
