I have noticed on several occasion whilst watching the "Star in a reasonably priced car" feature of BBC Top Gear that whilst what is claimed to be the video clip of the fastest lap for the celebrity that week, the car registration plate can change upto three times.

Therefore it cannot be the fastest lap as claimed, as it must be made up from a number of recorded laps, in different cars.
