Star Wars X-Wing series - Run That Name by Ne Again?

Hobbie's last name is inconsistently spelled throughout- it it Derek Klivian, but is spelled "Klivan" in the first four books.

In "SoA", he introduces himself to a reporter, and adds, "I'll get back to you on the name- lots of people misspell it.", thus turning a slipup into an easter egg.
