About half way throught the October 10, 2006 episode, when Christopher is telling Lorelai that he loves her, he calls her "Lauren." That's the actor's name, not the characters.
I would have to rewatch the episode, but I think that Christopher called her "Lor" which he frequently does(short for Lorelai, obviously) and you was just misheard.
I just saw this show, and he clearly called her "Lauren": "I can't just sit here and have coffee with you...[being with you] was so right, Lauren, you may not see that right now but I do..."
