Watch closely at the scene where Grandpa Joe is getting up. Listen Closely. He says "I havn't done this in twenty years!" If he was laying in a bed for twenty years, wouldn't he be disabled to walk because he hasn't walked in 20 years?

I always thought that Grandpa Joe was a selfish old git. Having Charlie's Mum wait hand and foot on him, and bedbath him for 2 decades, but as soon as a fun day out comes along he's hopping up and ready to go! Charlie's mum deserved to go instead.
