When the main character Leonard Shelby is about to kill the supposed drug dealer in the abandoned, the drug dealer offers him $200,000 in cash, which was in his car outside the warehouse. Leonard Shelby than goes about asking questions about he money before killing him. Leonard Shelby than takes a picture of the man he killed to remind him of the murder. When he gets up to leave the room you can tell he has forgotten about the murder, because he takes the newly taken picture of the dead man out of his pocket and says under his breathe "what have I done?" Teddy than comes up to Leonard Shelby and explains that he brought him to kill the dealer, and that the dealer was the actual killer. After Teddy explains that, Shelby than quotes "What about the $200,000. He said there was $200,000 in the car outside. How could Shelby have remembered that if he had forgotten he killed the man in the first place?
