Watch the movie, and near the end, in one of the final fight sequences, Wolverine is pushed to the very edge of the Statue of Liberty's head. He uses his claws to save himself, cutting off one of the spikes of the Statue's crown. About 4 minutes later, you see an overhead shot of the entire statue. The crown is intact!
