In this scene, Sally is outside chopping up the roses. As she walks into the house to tell Gillian that the detective was there, you can see that she has mud all over the knees of her jeans but when she gets upstairs, her jeans are clean. Hrmmm?
It's true. This is a slip up. But the stuff on her jeans is not mud. It's just water. When you kneel on grass like that your pants will get that ring on them. But it doesn't really matter. Good Find!
