In the movie, «Amélie» (its shorter title), at Amélie Poulain's second encounter with Nino Quincompoix, while he is again looking underneath the photo booths for salvageable photos, Nino takes off after a man in red sneakers. As he runs from the subway to the streets above, Amélie is quick to follow. The man in red sneakers quickly darts into his car as Nino kick starts his moped. Nino's moped brushes up against a car having turned from an adjacent street, causing one of his two backpacks (actually, a type of storage pack affixed loosely to his moped) to fall off onto the street. Amélie picks it up where inside lies a scrapbook. A few scenes later when Amélie has prompted Nino to meet her at the park, Nino is already present with only one backpack affixed to his moped. Amélie puts him through a wild goose chase, having him follow arrows up several flights of stairs onto a platform with a viewing scope aimed already at his moped; Amélie standing beside it, putting his scrapbook in the remaining backpack. However, she doesn't return the other backpack which fell onto the street in which laid his scrapbook. It’s seems a bit negligent to go though the trouble of returning something such as Amélie did, only to forget the other arguably important thing that someone had lost as well.
