In the episode "Young Man Blues" Eric displays Star Wars figures clearly not issued until the 90's, and also refers to fixing a Boba Fett jetpack, an action figure not introduced until after the release of The Empire Strikes Back in 1981. (and yes I know he was shown in cartoon form in the star wars holiday special of 1978)
