When Goku Gets the heart disease they give him medicine that Trunks gave them years before (the bottle is green). When they give him the medicine you can clearly see that it is in pill form, but later on you can see that the bottle is only half green which means that it was liquid and half of it was taken. How is this possible if the medicine was in pill form.
if i remember right, after goku had his "android" nightmare, chi chi fumbles frantically through several different medicine containers. i believe she gives him a red liquid. from all those medicines that they had, the original pills could have been there as well.
a better question should be why goku went to a hospital after being banged up by vegeta pretty bad, but they refuse to take him when he's having chest pains from a heart disease/virus that there is no cure for until trunk's timeline...
