In the movie, all of the police officers' shoulder patches read, "Border Patrol". The movie took place at JFK airport, in New York. There is no Border Patrol in New York City. The name of the division of law enforcement that polices foreign visitors is The Port Authority.

It's possible that legally they could not use "Port Authority" patches. There are tons of movies that use simular uniforms but not exact.
