In the scene on the bridge where the Fantastic 4 make their first public appearance, Mr. Fantasic stretches over the edge of the bridge to catch the falling fireman. He is wearing normal street clothes. They should have been shredded as soon as he stretched out to save the guy, but back up on the bridge afterward he's still neatly dressed.
