If you look at the scene where doc ock and spidey are fighting atop the train, just as ock jumps off, there is a zoom out to show that the track is about to end and there is a barrier at the end of the line.

Mysteriously, when spidey stops the train and is about to fall forwards, the barrier is gone!!!
