At the end of the movie, when Elle is giving her graduation speech, it is four years after the rest of the movie takes place. But when they show Paulette and the UPS guy, his nose is still broken from when Paulette did the "Bend and Snap" four years ago! Woops!
Two things...
First, the graduation was three years later, not four.
Second, I thik you are mistaking the UPS guy's appearance at the trial (where his nose is definately broken) with graduation (where is is definately not).

Okay, I could be wrong, but I don't think that you had the scenes right. Like I said, I could be wrong, but I also remember his nose being broken, but I could have sworn that that was in the court scene at the end...not at the graduation scene. I'm not 100% sure on that, but I'm pretty sure that's what happened. I don't have the movie, but I've seen it a million times so I can't exactly go and verify that. You could be right, too, you know. That's all. Thanks.

I have this movie memorized. It is 3 years later & his nose was broken at the trial but not at the graduation.

First, it would have been 2 years later (law school is 3 years total, the trial takes place towards the end of Elle's first year, plus I'm pretty sure it states "2 years later"). Second, let's say the UPS guy's nose IS broken in the graduation scene . . . maybe it was broken again. Couldn't it be possible that it's meant to imply Paulette is a clutz & keeps accidentally injuring her man?
