In the scene where Anne is arguing with Lady Russell, they are walking back and forth while Lady Russell is trying to convince Anne to marry her cousin, Mr. Elliot. In the background can be a seen a steward in blue standing against the wall for some seconds during this conversation. However, when it is apparently time for his cue to enter the scene, he comes up to Anne and tells her that she had a visitor waiting for her. While he could have been standing to wait for her to finish talking (and thus have a realistic reason to just be standing there the whole time), he waits so long that he was merely waiting for his cue.
