What happens is that during a crash scene real race footage was used, But the mello yello car waqs involved in the real race footage crash. It happens during the seen where cole is racing in the Daytona 500 at the end of the movie, just as the big crash unfolds. Just as Harry is saying "you can drive thru it" and before Cole starts talking again, you can see the mello yellow car crashing thru the infield with its hood crumpled up. This is the same mello yello car that cole is driving in this perticular race. I thought it was pretty good
