Back To The Future - Velcro Shoes

After the dance, the Doc is hooking up the powerlines to harness the lightning's energy and a branch falls and disconnects the wire by the clock. In Doc's attempts to repair the situation the plug catches on his pant leg. There are several shots of the Doc's feet as he attempts to reach the plug and it is VERY clear that he is wearing VELCRO SHOES (like the kind you find in discount stores). I don't think Velcro had been invented at this time, not to mention used on shoes.

terioake writes:: No, the shoes do NOT have velcro on them. It is a buckle. If you pause the movie, you can clearly see a buckle on both shoes. On his right shoe, you can see the loop the strap goes through. Besides, velcro sticks to a corresponding velcro piece, not sticking up in the air.
